What is an Easter basket, and what is usually inside?
The Easter basket is the customary thing that is offered during Easter especially for kids. It is generally full of Easter eggs, toys, candy, and sometimes little gifts. Easter baskets give a message of regeneration and rebirth – the excitement of Jesus Christ’s resurrection. They’re usually decorated with ribbons or flowers, and hold chocolate eggs, jelly beans, marshmallow Peeps, or other goodies. In some households, the Easter Bunny comes and brings the baskets, making it all the more magical. Baskets for Easter are commonly used during the Easter egg hunts in which the children go hunting for eggs. The baskets are a way to surprise and delight the kids as well as build memories and rituals of Easter.
