Floral Arrangements

Why are flower arrangements usually used at Easter?

Floral arrangements are a regular element of Easter because they represent new beginnings, renewal, and the start of spring, which are aligned with Easter’s themes. You have lilies, daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and so on, each with its own special meaning. Easter lily for example signifies purity and the resurrection of Jesus Christ. You get your church or your house decked out with flowers for an ecstatic and cheery feel. Such scenes remind one visually of the hope and optimism of Easter, the rebirth of the spirit and of the season. It is also used for Easter tables and Easter gift giving and as part of the sacrifices made on church altars. This practice of using flowers to mark Easter is both Christian symbolism and ancient spring festivals – a beautiful and sacred way to celebrate the holiday.
